Introducing the One-Time Charge Feature for Add-On Prices!

We are thrilled to unveil a highly requested feature that many of our users have been waiting for - One-Time Charge! This powerful addition gives you, the Shopify merchant, the ability to apply the add-on price only once, ensuring that the quantity of the add-on product in the cart remains fixed at 1. This holds true even when customers add multiple items of the main product or increase the quantity of the main item in the cart.

Who Can Benefit from This Feature?

This feature is beneficial for merchants offering:

- Gift boxes and messages: Despite multiple main items being added, only one gift box add-on price is charged.

How to Use the One-Time Charge Feature

1. Create an Option Set

- Go to the Option set page and click on the Create option set button.
- In the option set editor, select your preferred option type: Single input, Single selection, or Multiple selections.

2. Setting Up the One-Time Charge for Add-On Prices

- Enable the One-Time Charge checkbox.

⚠️ Please note that this function does not work with Quantity on the option value.



3. Apply the Option Set to Products and Test on Storefront

- Click on the Select products button and choose the products to which this option set will be applied.

- Click Apply and Create to activate the option set.

4. Testing on Storefront

- With the one-time charge for add-on price now applied to the product, it's essential to thoroughly test it. You can place a test order with the add-on option enabled and several main products to ensure the correct quantity of add-on price added.

- In the Cart page, you will notice that only one additional charge is added, regardless of the number of main products.



- Proceed to the Checkout page to see the final pricing.

Additional Notes

- The One-Time Charge for Add-On Prices feature does not yet support Quantity on the option value at the moment, unfortunately.
